1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device to make it work, remember preferences, or measure use. Similar technologies (local storage, pixels) serve comparable purposes. Where a cookie collects personal data, it falls under Costa Rica's Ley N.º 8968.
2. Consent
Ley N.º 8968 does not name cookies expressly, but its rules on personal data (article 3) and informed consent (article 5, and article 4 of its Reglamento) apply. On that basis, strictly necessary cookies operate without consent, while any non-essential cookie (for example analytics or marketing) is used only with your prior, affirmative consent, which you can grant, refuse or withdraw at any time. We do not use pre-ticked boxes.
3. Cookies we use
We use strictly necessary and functional cookies provided by our platform (Wix) to keep the site secure, remember your session and language, and enable member login, bookings and checkout. We do not currently run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking. If we add analytics or marketing cookies in the future, we will update this policy and request your consent before they are used.
4. Managing cookies
You can accept or reject non-essential cookies through the site's cookie controls and can change your choice later. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site (login, checkout) from working.
